Next Mobile Clubing: Wednesday March 14 lunch time: 12:30

LOCATION: Richards and Davie, North West corner, at the park.

You are invited, invite your friends.

Let's try in day time!

Mobile clubbing is where a (small) group of people meet together in a
public place and put on earphones and over the course of a set period
of time just dance to a personal stereo. Each person listens to
whatever music they want to (each different), and they dance. People
do this in London, and it's lots of fun.

These are the only instructions;
- arrive at location at a given time
- start dancing to your personal stereo to the music of your choice
- spread out in space as that will prevent us from being asked to leave

It will be great!

Mobile Clubbing Monday Jan 22nd at 5:30 Granville Island: Triangle Square!

LOCATION: Granville Island Triangle Square
5:30 to 5:50, Monday January 22nd.

It was raining, of course! We are in Vancouver after all! But it was my first rainy Mobile Clubbing, shared it with two new mobile clubbers and a great photographer who documented the event. All the Granville Island lights were reflected in the water, it was abit slippery, calling for fun dance moves!

Profile of a Mobile clubber: Nadia Bertrand

Nadia is a visual artist in transit in Vancouver. She found a electronic piano in the garbage, hooked it with headphones and used it to make her own music to dance on.

On the way there, Julie and Nadia found various object to make a temporary installation, lamp and chairs, transforming the closed fountain of the Richards and Davie park in a cosy living room.

I like the idea of building temporary installations for our Mobile Clubbings. It gives a meeting point for the dancers and is, like the dancing bodies, suddenly changing the space, just for a moment.
